Craftsmanship & Care

The Origin & Engineering

Our journey begins with Merino wool sustainably sourced from Australia. We have specifically engineered this collection with a Premium 240 GSM

This "mid-heavy" density provides the perfect thermal insulation for travel while ensuring a luxurious, substantial drape that resists wrinkling.

The Artisanal Boiling Process

After being woven on precision power looms, the fabric undergoes a signature Boiling Process in industrial-sized boilers. This agitates the 240 GSM knit to lock the fibers together, making it:

  • Soft & Non-Itchy: Removing the natural "prickle" of wool for total skin comfort.
  • Weather Resilient: Denser and more wind-resistant while remaining highly breathable.
  • 100% Sustainable: Naturally moisture-wicking, odor-resistant, and 100% recyclable.

Functional Architecture

  • Double-Sided Comfort Neckline: Designed to solve the common issue of shifting, our reinforced neckline provides a soft, secure grip, ensuring your Kimono Jacket stays perfectly positioned.
  • Dual-Sided Pocket Architecture: A three-pocket system engineered directly into the knit. One side features two deep hand-warmer pockets, while the reverse features a concealed security pocket.

Product Care for your 240 GSM Merino

Because of the substantial weight and complex integrated pocket system, your Samaya piece requires specific care to maintain its structural integrity:

  • The "Self-Cleaning" Advantage: Merino wool is naturally rich in Lanolin, creating a barrier that repels odors. You rarely need to wash it; simply air it out after use to refresh the fibers.
  • Spot Cleaning: The density of the 240 GSM knit keeps stains on the surface longer. If a mark occurs, use lukewarm water and wool-safe detergent to lift it without deep soaking.
  • Maintaining Shape: To preserve the "Pocket Architecture" and prevent the 240 GSM knit from stretching, always store your garment flat. Avoid using hangers for long periods.
  • Washing: When a full clean is needed, Dry Clean or Hand Wash with mild detergent. Lay flat to dry only—never use a dryer.

Giving Back

For every purchase you make, we provide books & groceries for homeless street children in India. This effort is being carried out through partnering with an NGO called Jamghat, here is the link to their website:
